The squads are quickly filling out for the upcoming Liverpool vs Celtic legends match at Anfield with Jamie Carragher and five more players being announced for the fixture on Saturday, March 25th.

It was previously known that Artur Boruc, Stiliyan Petrov and Simon Donnelly would be included on the Celtic team, with the Bhoys recently revealing that B team coaching duo Darren O’Dea and Stephen McManus would be taking part.

Defenders Daniel Agger, Martin Skrtel, Ragnar Klavan and Gregory Vignal were unveiled as Liverpool participants last week and the reds have confirmed more names this weekend.

Jamie Carragher headlines the latest group, joined by goalkeepers Jerzy Dudek, Sander Westerveld and left-back Fabio Aurelio.

It has already been confirmed that an icon of both clubs, Kenny Dalglish, will manage the Liverpool team in the fixture – joined by Ian Rush, John Barnes and John Aldridge. The Celtic coaching staff have yet to be unveiled.

Tickets are on sale now and 100 per cent of the match proceeds have been committed to good causes. They priced at £27 for adults, £7 for juniors and £17 for over 65s.

Beneficiaries will include Celtic FC Foundation, Forever Reds (the official LFC former players association which, among other things, provides support to the club’s former players in need of care) and a range of programmes delivered by LFC Foundation including help for schools, inclusive sports, social action, health and wellbeing and food poverty.

Last week, Celtic FC Foundation launched a brilliant new project – the ‘Paradise Pit Stop’. The club are opening their doors every Monday and Thursday evening, offering a space to obtain a free warm meal and hot drinks, for those who need them.

It’s just the latest in a range of superb endeavours from the staff at the Foundation. The cash raised at Anfield will go towards many other charity efforts throughout 2023 and beyond.
