Celtic made Jeffrey Schlupp their only January transfer deadline day signing last night.
Brendan Rodgers had wanted a striker and the manager will likely have to bat away plenty of questions from the media this week as to why the club were unable to make that happen.
Still, Schlupp is a very experienced campaigner in the Premier League with the likes of Leicester City and Crystal Palace.
The Ghana international broke his silence on his Parkhead move last night after the deal was confirmed and Celtic fans had their say on the switch not too long after that.
It was a loan agreement to have Schlupp play at left-back as a challenger for Greg Taylor‘s spot given that Arsenal would not let Kieran Tierney leave this month.
Celts were keen to bring KT back for the remainder of the season but the Gunners wanted to keep him even despite not selling Oleksandr Zinchenko for the quoted £30million.

Jeffrey Schlupp was Celtic’s only deadline day signing
Following the news that Schlupp had been announced by the Hoops social media team, Sky Sports pundit Kris Boyd was asked about his thoughts on Celtic bringing the player to Glasgow.
He was open in explaining how they had to sign someone for that position – even though another hitman was not brought in – but the former Rangers striker questioned Schlupp’s actual best spot on the football pitch.
“They had to bring someone in with Alex Valle going back to Barcelona and then going to Como I think with Cesc Fabregas,” Boyd said on Sky Sports punditry duties.
“Schlupp can play there (left-back) but he can also play in midfield.”
Clinton Morrison says Schlupp’s best position is not left-back
Boyd then asked fellow pundit Clinton Morrison for his thoughts on the move.
The 45-year-old has watched plenty of Schlupp over the years given his previous early career stint with Palace.
The Irishman also knows the 32-year-old well and believes he knows his favoured position.
And, awkwardly, it seems it may not even be at left-back which is presumably where he was signed to play.
“Yeah I think his best position is midfield, I think if you ask him that question he would probably say the same,” Morrison revealed.
“He would tell you that himself.
“He can do a job at left-back, he did that at Leicester City.
“I think it’s a good move for him and it’s a good move for Celtic.”
