The Celtic fans have witnessed some legendary figures don their famous green and white colours over the years.
Not many of today’s generation were blessed to watch the Lisbon Lions lift the famous European Cup in 1967.
That’s why many regard Henrik Larsson as Celtic’s greatest-ever player, as the Swedish star, with his ruthless finish and flashy dreadlocks, ripped every team apart during his time in Scotland.
Larsson’s career at Celtic, under the stewardship of the great Martin O’Neill, will be remembered forever, as the players of today try to write their names in the legendary books.
One thing is for sure, they are making a serious fist of it because Celtic are on course for another Treble under Brendan Rodgers.
For some, this will be their first taste of the ultimate domestic glory in Scotland, but for others, they are winning more Trebles than Rangers have wins at Celtic Park in the last decade.

John Hartson compares Callum McGregor to Henrik Larsson after Brendan Rodgers’ comments
Callum McGregor is the heart of Celtic, one of the first names on the teamsheet, and the man with the armband.
Rodgers recently stated that he is ‘lucky’ to have a man like McGregor to pick from, given what he brings to the team.
And Hartson, who shared the same dressing room as Larsson, stated that what Rodgers said about McGregor is something O’Neill would say about the King of Kings, as he told Go Radio.
“Callum McGregor is the one who takes control of it,” said Hartson. “He will get it, and he will say, ‘you know what, there is space. I am going to drive forward’, like he did in the cup semi-final for the first goal.
“His drive. His willingness to run forward and just create something. Make something happen.
“But, besides that, he can play in front of the back four. He can take it off the two defenders. He can play it back. He can manipulate the ball so well.
“And, as Brendan said there, that’s incredible praise when a manager says, ‘I am lucky to have this player’. That’s what Martin (O’Neill) would say about Henrik (Larsson), or one or two others maybe. You are lucky that you are in charge of these great players.”
McGregor and Larsson’s Celtic career in numbers
Larsson has written his status, and it will be remembered until the end of time, as many have tried to pass and match it at Celtic.
From Larsson’s 224 goals to that iconic chip against Rangers that will be remembered in folklore. There won’t be anyone like him again.

| Celtic | 292 | 224 | 62 | 8 |
As for McGregor, he isn’t even finished yet and has years and years left in the tank.
James Forrest just became Celtic’s most decorated player with 26 trophies, and you wouldn’t be surprised if McGregor surpasses that by the time the duo hang up their boots.
