Celtic winger Jota has had a few cracking moments this season, with many of them arriving off the pitch.
Who can forget the iconic ‘Jota on the wing’ song which grew arms and legs after being covered by English musician Ellie Dixon.
There was also his visit to The Brazen Head pub, while wearing our iconic bumblebee jersey.
Both moments have been lapped up by the Celtic support, with the Portuguese winger now one of the big fan favourites at the club.
And he seems to have gotten us all going again in cup final week with some brilliant recent Celtic TV comments.
Speaking in the lead up to Saturday’s final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Jota was asked about him being the perfect fit to play for a club of Celtic’s stature.
“This is such a big club with a lot of soul, you know,” he said.
“I see clubs with soul and that is what I want for my life and my career. Celtic is no different.
“We are probably one of the best clubs in the world in terms of passion and soul.
“Our fans speak for themselves. Every time we’re at Celtic Park or an away game, we feel this extra push from the fans.
“That’s just an amazing feeling that not a lot of athletes can have.”
Having grown up a Benfica fan, Jota will know about special clubs as much as me or you.
The Lisbon outfit are one of the few sides in Europe where football seems to matter more, and anything other than a victory is deemed failure.
It is perhaps no surprise that he has adjusted so seamlessly to life in Glasgow, and is so revered as a result.
He’s yet to score in a cup final for us.
