The protests continue to ramp up at Celtic.
On Wednesday night, Celtic open their Europa League account against Red Star Belgrade, before their first home game since everything kicked off.
Celtic will host Hibernian on Saturday afternoon in a Premiership encounter, and it will be the club’s first home match since that Saturday night statement, the club insider news broke, Brendan Rodgers’ box office presser, and the protests from the fans.
The man who broke the story about that Celtic ‘insider’ calling out the manager was Roger Hannah, and he was on his first Clyde 1 show on Monday since everything reached boiling point.

Roger Hannah on Celtic fans boycotting
There are a lot of frustrated Celtic fans out there, and some are stating they won’t attend Europa League matches, not buy merchandise or even give up their season ticket, given how they have been treated.
But Hannah made it clear that ‘there is such a waiting list for season tickets’ at Celtic, that those standing up and walking away will be replaced pretty much straight away.
He also referenced Celtic’s recent finances, how the champions of Scotland are ‘making a lot of money’, and it will take ‘an awful lot of people’ to boycott to make a difference.
“People can protest in whichever way they feel appropriate,” said Hannah. “We have heard this before, we have heard people saying they are not paying for another season ticket. They aren’t going back.
“The thing with Celtic is that there is such a waiting list for season tickets. Somebody else will take it.
“You can tell from the accounts that came out last Friday night, whether you are in favour of it, whether you are against it. Financially, the club is being run very well. They are making a lot of money. There are a lot of different kits in that superstore if you go for a walk around. They are all well-priced.
“Celtic are making a lot of money, so it would take an awful lot of people to indulge in that sort of spending boycott before it made any difference whatsoever.”
Celtic vs Hibernian and Braga will tell their own story
The Celtic board are rather lucky that, as soon as the 2025 summer transfer window shut, there was a September international break and then a host of away matches.
But it has only delayed the inevitable, as Celtic’s next two home matches – Hibernian in the league and Braga in the Europa League – will tell their own story.
First of all, what will be the volume of protests towards the board at Celtic Park on the weekend?
And then, on the flip side, how many empty seats will there be for Celtic’s 5:45 pm kick-off against Braga, because many have threatened to vote with their feet?!
