Kasper Schmeichel has sent a message to the Celtic fans after the 4-1 win over Chelsea ended the pre-season tour of the USA.
The Danish international was superb in the 73 minutes he was on the park and had the Celtic fans raving after looking very comfortable in the Celtic jersey in Indiana.
The 4-1 win over Enzo Maresca’s side caps off a brilliant pre-season tour where Celtic not only made headlines on the park but created new friends off it.
Celtic are likely to bank a tidy sum of money from their exploits across The Pond but as well as that, the club have remained close to their roots with some excellent donations to local charities.
However, this time, it’s the fans who are on Schmeichel’s mind as he pays tribute to the Celtic supporters after the final pre-season tour win over Chelsea.
Schmeichel thanks the Celtic fans
Kasper Schmeichel joined Celtic less than 10 days ago and he has already quickly become a favourite for the Celtic support.
And after the win over Chelsea, he took to Instagram to send the fans a message:
At 37, Schmeichel still looked very agile and alert as he pulled off some superb first-half saves to keep Chelsea at bay.

Now ready to face the Scottish Premiership, it’s fair to say that Rodgers has pulled off a great piece of business and found a worthy replacement for Joe Hart.
Matt O’Riley responds to Celtic and Denmark teammate
Matt O’Riley was another standout performer for Celtic last night. The Danish international responded to Schmeichel’s post with a simple emoji to show what he thought of his performance against Chelsea.

O’Riley put in a superb performance against The Blues as he found the back of the net with another goal and an assist on the tour.
With transfer speculation about the Celtic midfielder at fever pitch this summer, O’Riley reminded any potential suitors why the Parkhead club are playing hardball over their star man.
Now that the pre-season tour is over, Celtic will now be preparing for Flag Day against Kilmarnock next Sunday where Brendan Rodgers will be hoping for a winning start to the defence of the Scottish Premiership title.
