Kjetil Knutsen and Bodo/Glimt have earned plenty of plaudits for the way they have performed in recent years.

The Norwegian outfit have dominated their domestic league and made great strides in Europe, reaching the semi-final in the Europa League and Conference League.

A large part of that has been down to Knutsen, who has caught the eye of many clubs looking for a new manager.

Celtic fans would love Knutsen to replace Brendan Rodgers but links to the job have cooled down of late.

Out of contract at the end of the season, the 57-year-old has the chance to end it on a high if he chooses to leave.

Poll: Who would you like to become the new Celtic manager?

Bodo/Glimt one win away from becoming champions

Here in Scotland, Celtic are almost at the halfway point of the season but in Norway, due to their football calendar, they are approaching the end.

Bodo are once again in the title race and are hoping to make it five league wins in six years.

Their 2-1 win away against KFUM means they lead the Elitserien with one game remaining.

Closest challengers Viking play later on Sunday and could go back to the top if they win.

That would mean a straight shootout for the league on the final day, where they would need to better whatever Viking do.

After being in everyone’s immediate thoughts after Rodgers’ resignation, things have gone quiet with regard to Knutsen.

Wilfried Nancy has emerged as the leading candidate to get the job while the Norwegian continues to go about his work.

Regardless of where he ends up, there will be a number of Celtic fans who will wonder ‘what could have been’ if he isn’t the man to lead the Hoops.
