Martin O’Neill has called for Celtic supporters to stay united as more protests took place against St Mirren.
Callum McGregor’s 95th minute winner moved the Hoops to within four points of Hearts, however, what went on in the stands was more telling.
Celtic fans continued their protests against the board, days after Peter Lawwell adjourned the 2025 AGM early due to tensions threatening to overspill.
While the Green Brigade watched Celtic B due to their ongoing ban, those who made the short trip to Paisley continued to call for the board’s head, but O’Neill wants them to focus only on the team.

Martin O’Neill’s request to Celtic fans
O’Neill was asked if the protests were affecting the way his side were playing on the pitch.
While he didn’t blame it directly, the interim manager conceded that it could be playing some part.
He said: “I probably don’t think so but I’m not sure.
“I think there’s perhaps just an element that… I’m not saying it’s going to affect Daizen Maeda, who probably wouldn’t know what ‘sack the board’ is, but I don’t think it’ll help.
“They paid their money, they came here tonight. And obviously the scenes at the end were terrific.
“We just need some sort of unification again. I know I made the point about Jock Stein. He built the football club on unification. Fans and players and team and everybody else going in the same way.”
