Rumours linking Lennon Miller to Celtic have been going on for a number of years now.
At just 18, Miller has featured in Motherwell’s first team 76 times and has attracted the attention of Celtic and numerous clubs across the UK and Europe.
Entering the final year of his current deal, it is widely expected that the Scotland midfielder will leave Motherwell with Miller being tipped to join Celtic this summer.
However, with no apparent movement from the Parkhead club to capture the highly rated youngster, Miller’s dad, Lee, has shared where his son’s real ambition lies as the Celtic links refuse to die down.

Celtic target Lennon Miller ‘wants to play at the highest level’ like ex-Man United man
Lee Miller has been very open and honest about his son’s future as his Motherwell contract runs down. And as speculation continues to link Lennon away from Fir Park, it appears that Europe could be on his mind.
Lee Miller told the Scottish Football Podcast [21m], “Yeah, potentially. You look at Billy Gilmour, Lewis Ferguson, (Scott) McTominay doing their thing abroad. They are in Italy and Max Johnston has done really well as well (in Austria with Sturm Graz).
“And he wants to be a part of that as well. He has got ambition and he wants to play at the highest level possible.
“He has done really well for Motherwell last season, and finished off the season with two Scotland caps, which is tremendous, and he obviously capped it off with Young Player of the Year as well.
“So, he had a great season last season and he wants to take it to another level, so we will see what happens in the next few weeks.”
With a timeline pretty much set on Miller’s Motherwell departure, could the highly-rated midfielder join Celtic?
Will Lennon Miller sign for Celtic or Rangers?
BBC man Kheredine Idessane said Miller leaving Motherwell will be a deal that works well for both the player and the Scottish club as Lennon will look to ‘challenge himself’ at either one of the ‘big two’ in Scotland or elsewhere.
Miller continued, “Of course, Lennon has been great for Motherwell, and Motherwell has been great for Lennon.
“It has been a really good fit, and it has been carefully thought of beforehand. There has always been clubs in for him since he was 14 – whether it was down south or up here – but there has always been a path at Motherwell, and it has been carefully thought out.
“Some people would say ‘why didn’t you go to X,Y and Z club for this money?’ – but he has played, he is the youngest appearance holder for Motherwell and the youngest goal scorer – which is a testament to him.
“There is a lot that has happened in his life but he goes on the football pitch, plays his game and enjoys playing football.”
Will Lennon Miller join Celtic? Unfortunately, all the noises are suggesting that playing abroad will be the youngster’s likely destination.
But could Celtic jump in and tempt him with Champions League football, silverware and then the promise of a move to one of the big leagues after a few years at the Scottish champions?
That ship might have already sailed considering teams from England and Italy are already sniffing around the talented Scotland player.
