Lennon Miller’s Motherwell absence wasn’t to do with Celtic transfer links
Lennon Miller is wanted by a host of European clubs, which also includes Celtic.
Motherwell have said the Celtic target will leave this summer and now it’s all about who will win the race for his signature.
Excitement built in Glasgow after Miller was missing from the Motherwell squad for their Premier Sports Cup game against Clyde, but it was later confirmed that the 18-year-old played no part due to injury.
With over a month to go, there is still time to get this one over the line, but it feels like it’s going to rumble on longer.
Celtic to do battle with Serie A and La Liga outfits for left-back
Kieran Tierney snubbed huge pay days to return to Celtic and will rightly be the club’s first choice left-back this season, but back-ups will be needed in the event of injury.
Hayato Inamura impressed as a makeshift left-back but isn’t seen as the long-term solution.

Instead, Flavio Nazinho has been linked with Celtic but the Bhoys will face competition from Roma and Real Sociedad to sign the Cercle Brugge man.
The Portugal U21 full-back was a part of their European Championships campaign over the course of the summer and impressed with two goals and eight assists last season.
Charlie Mulgrew’s honest Kyogo Furuhashi verdict
Kyogo Furuhashi joined Birmingham City to end a nightmare six-month spell at Rennes in France.
Birmingham fans are already impressed by Kyogo and many have tipped him to be the star of the season.
However, Charlie Mulgrew has controversially claimed that Rodgers was never a fan of Kyogo and that bringing him back to Glasgow was never on the cards.
He said: ‘If you look at Brendan Rodgers, and the players he signed to play up front. Dembele. Idah. Big players. Edouard. Even when he first went to Leicester, Vardy was the main striker, and he was playing Iheanacho up there, wasn’t he? Different type of striker. Coming to feet and holding the ball up.
“I have never spoken to him about it. I think he prefers that type of striker. He spent £9 million on Idah.”
Celtic could make considerable loss on Hyeokkyu Kwon
Hyeokkyu Kwon has been at Celtic for several years but has failed to break into the first team.
Loan spells at Hibernian and St Mirren haven’t really done much to boost his chances and he is one of the players on the proverbial chopping block.
Reports from Austria have said that Austria Vienna want Kwon but any deal would see the Hoops make a significant loss on the £1m fee they paid for the 24-year-old in 2023.
In fact, the Hoops could fetch as little as £172k for him which would be a disappointing return back.
