Celtic winger Liel Abada is at the centre of a delicate situation at Parkhead, and his future at the club is anything but certain based on current evidence.
The Israel international has been at the centre of a difficult personal situation amid ongoing events in his homeland, which has led Brendan Rodgers to leave him out of his last two matchday squads.
Irish boss Rodgers has since admitted that Abada could leave the club, stating in his pre-match press conference before the Hoops’ draw with Kilmarnock: “It’s a possibility, it’s a possibility. But we’ll see. We will work together on it.”
Reports suggest that clubs from Major League Soccer are open to acquiring the 22-year-old on a permanent basis, with a loan deal also deemed to be a distinct possibility.
During his time at Celtic, Abada has featured on 112 occasions across all competitions, registering 29 goals and 22 assists in total, as per Transfermarkt.
Nevertheless, his performances this term haven’t hit the mark, which may be explained by the current circumstances he finds himself in.
