Luke Littler shows Celtic love as PDC World Darts champion reacts to Hoops star video

Game recognises game, as they say.

Celtic are runaway Scottish Premiership leaders with even some of a Rangers persuasion assuming the league title is won already.

The Premier Sports Cup is already in the bag and the Scottish Cup is next on the agenda.

If Celts can get a run at it, a Champions League top eight spot is still mathematically possible albeit there is plenty that has to go in the Hoops’ favour for that to come to fruition.

So it is safe to say Brendan Rodgers is a winner and his squad is full of them, too.

Another accomplished star has just arrived in the door in the form of Jota whose move from Rennes was confirmed this week.

Luke Littler showed his admiration for Celtic’s Jota

The superstar from Portugal lifted five trophies during his time in Glasgow before he earned himself a £25million move to Al-Ittihad and he proved himself a bonafide Celtic legend.

It is not a shock, then, that a winner from another sport has emerged as a new fan.

As Celts posted a Tik Tok clip of Jota holding the club’s jersey, his famous anthem was blasted in the background in the signing video tease ahead of his official announcement.

And PDC World Darts champion Luke Littler jumped on the clip immediately with a class response fans were buzzing to see.

The youngster, 18, commented on the post: “Jota on the wing” with two dancing emojis.

It was a moment for supporters to savour with celebrity fans always welcome.

One wrote in reply to Littler’s words: “Yes Luke, come on!” as another commented: “Luke my Bhoy.”

Another added: “Yes mate, knew you were one of the good ones,” as a fourth noted: “Yes Luke son”.

Other celebrity Celtic fans

Littler is a Manchester United fan as well as clearly having a soft spot for Celtic and the darts sensation was pictured with Lou Macari just last week.

He joins countless celebs as Celtic supporters.

Martin Compston and James McAvoy are diehards while the likes of Nicky Byrne of Westlife and Gerard Butler are also big fans as was clear on the Soccer Aid bus back in the day.

More recently, Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz took in a Celtic game at Parkhead and declared his admiration after a win over Rangers.
