Celtic fans are furious over the club’s summer transfer window business.
The Hoops were left scrambling on deadline day for a quality striker after sanctioning the £7m switch that saw Adam Idah move to Swansea City.
Celtic signed Sebastian Tounekti, but they failed to find a centre forward despite having months to do so.
In the end, they had to settle for Kelechi Iheanacho after the window had closed, while Patrick Bamford and Emmanuel Dennis are also being eyed up.
On Wednesday, livid Celtic fans united as one and sent an open letter to the club’s board asking seven key questions about the transfer window failings, long-term strategy and more.

Nicholson ‘aware’ of open letter penned by Celtic fans
Now, it’s been claimed by CeltsAreHere – one of the signatories of the letter – that Celtic CEO Michael Nicholson is ‘aware’ of the open letter.
The fan media outlet spoke to Celtic’s SLO John Paul Taylor, who said: “Michael is aware of all the letters/statements from supporters group and he will be seeing them personally.
“With regards to supporters sending in emails, all have/will be collated and sent to his PA.”
When was Nicholson’s last public address?
Celtic fans are sick of the lack of communication that comes from the club’s board, with direct engagement a rarity nowadays.
Nicholson isn’t one for public addresses or speaking to the media. He last addressed the press in June 2023 when Brendan Rodgers returned as manager.
Of course, fans will remember his ‘world class’ statement of intent from that day two years and three months ago, which is rather ironic now.
Later that year, Nicholson gave an interview to Celtic club media as part of the AGM 2023 interviews with various decision-makers and staff members.
Here’s what he had to say in that interview: “Well the objective is simple. Our objective is to be a world class football club in all that we do, and at the moment that means dominating in Scotland and competing in the group stage of the Champions League.
“And in order to achieve that objective, we organise our strategy amongst three key pillars. And the core central pillar to that is football and our football operations.
“In addition to that, we have have a focus on improving the football environment in which we operate and compete. And finally and importantly, we have a focus on improving and growing the Celtic brand around the world.
“And those three areas are supported by our people across the business working together to take Celtic forward as far as Europe is concerned.”
