Michel-Ange Balikwisha hilariously named one of his Celtic teammates as the player he loved to watch while growing up.

Balikwisha took part in a Q and A session on Celtic’s Instagram story, where the summer signing was asked a variety of questions about his time with the Hoops so far.

One of those submitted by Hoops fans was about the winger’s childhood hero growing up, which led to a surprise answer.

Michel-Ange Balikwisha says Kelechi Iheanacho was his hero growing up

When faced with the question about his childhood hero, the Belgian looked like he was deep in thought, before being persuaded by teammate Kelechi Iheanacho.

The fellow summer signing was there to film his own Q and A session, but couldn’t resist getting in on the act.

Looking towards the Nigerian, Balikwisha said: “My favourite player growing up? My friend, Kelechi Iheanacho.”

You could hear Iheanacho laughing in the background before the forward returned the favour in his own video by claiming Balikwisha is his best friend in the squad so far.

As the international break comes to an end, Balikwisha and his teammates will be preparing for this weekend’s game against Dundee.

He played a crucial part in the win against Motherwell after providing the assist for Daizen Maeda’s stoppage time header.

An injury to Maeda could mean it is Balikwisha’s time to shine at Dens Park and maybe score his first goal as a Celtic player.
