Celtic fans are still waiting on the third transfer addition this summer.
However, if the Parkhead club have designs on any Tottenham players, they will need to think again.
The Premier League club have players worth tens of millions of pounds which are well out of Celtic’s price range.
However, there is a player at the Premier League club who has a ‘soft spot’ for Celtic that Frank McAvennie thinks would be a ‘nice’ player for the Bhoys to sign.

Tottenham star Archie Gray has a ‘soft spot’ for Celtic
Archie Gray has made no secret of the fact that he supports Celtic. After making his £35m move to Tottenham last summer, the midfielder made the Parkhead confession.
And when it was put to McAvennie that Gray could one day play for Celtic, the ex-Parkhead striker admitted ‘that would be nice’.
Payton told the Let Me Be Frank podcast, “My agent at the time was Eddie Gray and his lad Stuart was at Celtic as well, God rest his soul.
“Obviously Stuart’s passed on but I knew that Celtic was big but obviously from being down south and that when you come up, you realise how big it is.”
McAvennie: “I didn’t know Eddie did the agency work. You learn something new every day.”
Houston: “That’s as famous a footballing family as you’re going to get. Royalty”
McAvennie: “Football royalty, that’s what I call them.”
Houston: “Archie [Gray] has a bit of a soft spot for Celtic as well, he might end up wearing the Hoops at some point.”
McAvennie: “That would be nice.”
Houston: “It would be nice. Might cost a couple of quid.”
McAvennie: “He might cost a few quid. I don’t think we would pay that. Maybe, maybe.”
What Tottenham’s Archie Gray actually said about Celtic
Gray has been at Tottenham for almost a year now after Ange Postecoglou took him to the Premier League strugglers.
And on the day he signed, Gray said, “It’s a massive project under Ange, and it’s something that I want to be part of. I’m not going to lie to you; I’m a massive Celtic fan, so I love him, and my whole family loves him.
“I haven’t really said this, to be fair. He’s also a massive factor (in joining Tottenham) because playing under a good manager is important for me and I’ve still got loads to learn because I’m only 18.”
