Former reported Celtic target Kevin Nisbet appears to be closing in on a move to English Championship side Millwall in the January window.
After missing almost the entirety of 2022 through a knee injury, the Scottish striker has returned to form for Scottish Premiership side Hibernian.
Despite Lee Johnson’s recent struggles at Easter Road, Nisbet has been on fire in front of goal, scoring seven times in just as many games.

Before picking up his injury in February of last year, the 25-year-old was a wanted man in the transfer market, with several clubs being linked to moves.
During the early stages of Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic rebuild in 2021, the Hoops were one of the club’s reportedly eyeing up the Scotland international.
However, injury and the success of Kyogo Furuhashi and Giorgos Giakoumakis looked to see Nisbet fall off the Bhoys’ transfer radar.
After returning in December and finding goalscoring form once again, though, reports began to suggest that Celtic analysts were keeping a close eye on the striker.
But there was no indication of further interest, and the Hoops recruitment staff simply looked to be doing their due diligence after his fantastic goalscoring return.
His form for Hibernian may not have reignited Celtic’s transfer interest. However, it appears to have caught the attention of a few English Championship clubs.

Kevin Nisbet closing in on move to Millwall.
According to several reports, including from outlets such as the Daily Record, Nisbet is now closing in on a £2.5 million move to English Championship side Millwall.
The London club previously had their initial £1 million offer for the striker rejected. However, they have since returned with an improved bid.
The report states that a deal worth up to £2.5 million, which includes performance-based add-ons, has been accepted by Hibernian, and a deal could be complete as soon as today.
It has certainly been a bit of a disastrous period for our fellow Scottish Premiership side, who also look set to lose defender Ryan Porteous [BBC Sport].
During the peak of Celtic’s reported interest in Nisbet, it was indicated in the media that the Easter Road side could demand upwards of £4 million for the frontman.

So you would imagine it would come as a slight disappointment to those at Hibs, with the fee falling considerably, despite Nisbet’s recent return to form.
Although Nisbet is a player that the Celtic analysts were taking a look at, it never seemed likely that we would see Ange Postecoglou make his move this month.
Currently, there are three striker options at Parkhead after the signing of Hyeongyu Oh. However, Giorgos Giakoumakis could soon be headed for the exit door.
It will be interesting to see how the Hibs man gets on south of the border. But any chance of a move to Parkhead seems to have passed back in 2021.
