Celtic’s transfer plans are beginning to intensify as the weeks between the end of one season and the start of another take place.
Brendan Rodgers has big plans for the summer and Celtic supporters have demanded a squad overhaul in the aftermath of the Scottish Cup final loss against Aberdeen.
One target who could they could miss out on is Mathias Kvistgaarden, who could be heading to Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.
Oskar Fallenius is the latest name linked with Celtic, as well as Rangers. The Djurgarden attacker can play across the front three and could be cheaper than the likes of David Strelec, as well providing competition for Adam Idah, Nicolas Kuhn and other goal scoring stars.
It’s early days but if Fallenius signs, he would follow in the footsteps of three former Celtic players.

Oskar Fallenius would become the fourth former Brommapojkana youth star to play for Celtic
Celtic have had their fair share of Swedish talents over the years, most notably the legendary Henrik Larsson, but there have been others too.
One common theme is that the Bhoys have found players who have come through the ranks at Brommapojkarna.
The club is known as a hotbed for developing Swedish talent and in the past has produced players who have gone on to play for the Celts.
John Guidetti, Daniel Majstorovic and Carl Starfelt are all players who began their careers with the Stockholm club before finding themselves at Celtic.
Fallenius is still playing in his homeland now, but if he decides to make the jump, he could be the fourth in a list of names to follow this path.

How does Oskar Fallenius’ stats compare to Celtic’s attacking options?
Fallenius is still in the early stages of the 2025 season due to the way the Swedish football calendar works so, in this case, his stats from the 2024 campaign must be compared.
His three main competitors would be Kuhn, Idah and Daizen Maeda.
| Stats | Oskar Fallenius (from 2024 season) | Nicolas Kuhn | Adam Idah | Daizen Maeda |
| Games | 31 | 51 | 53 | 51 |
| Goals | 3 | 21 | 20 | 33 |
| Assists | 3 | 15 | 1 | 13 |
Compared to the trio, the 23-year-old’s numbers are some way off, which may suggest that he isn’t going to be a nailed-on starter.
But, with his contract expiring in 2026, he could be considered a cheap acquisition.
