Daizen Maeda ‘wanted’ by Fenerbahce

According to Turkish outlet Takvim, Fenerbahce’s director of football Mário Branco wants to recruit Celtic hero Daizen Maeda this summer.

They claim Fenerbahce want to sign ‘highly athletic’ players for their attack next season and of course, Maeda would certainly fit that description.

The report adds that Maeda is valued at €11m, which is just over £9.2m. There’s no chance Celtic will sell for that price with his contract expiring in 2027.

Maeda will command a massive fee after scoring 33 goals in 51 games for the Hoops last season.

Dundee’s Josh Mulligan to Celtic?

Back in March, ex-Celtic kid Paul Slane said the Hoops should try and sign Josh Mulligan from Dundee in the summer transfer window.

Mulligan will be available for nothing given his contract at Dens Park expires, with TBR Football now reporting Celtic are keen on the versatile midfielder.

The report adds that West Bromwich Albion are also taking an interest in the 22-year-old who predominantly played on the right of a midfield three last season under Tony Docherty.

Mulligan earned 16 caps for the Scotland U21 team and made 34 Premiership appearances last season to help keep Dundee in the top-flight.

He failed to score a single goal across all competitions but did provide five assists in the league.

David Strelec to Celtic ‘just rumours’

David Strelec’s agent has said that Celtic have not lodged a concrete bid to Slovan Bratislava for the striker.

As reported by The Herald, Michal Cierny commented: “It’s just rumours at the moment. There is no concrete offer on the table from Celtic.”

Strelec scored 25 goals in 48 appearances for Slovan Bratislava last season as they won the Slovak First Football League title.

Celtic tried to sign Strelec in January but a £7.9m bid was rejected. He was also linked with EFL Championship club Middlesbrough.

Bournemouth ‘position themselves’ to end Kyogo nightmare

It is being reported by Le Parisien that Premier League club Bournemouth are keeping tabs on Rennes striker Kyogo Furuhashi.

Andoni Iraola’s men have reportedly ‘positioned themselves’ to sign the Japanese forward who is looking to reignite his career.

The Celtic hero has endured a nightmare spell in France having played just six games since his £10m move from Parkhead in January, scoring no goals.

Jeffrey Schlupp provides future update to Sky Sports

Before Celtic’s Scottish Cup final defeat to Aberdeen, Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph claimed Celtic loanee Jeffrey Schlupp was in talks with the Hoops over his future.

The Crystal Palace left-back is out of contract in the summer and it is currently unknown where he will end up next season.

Asked by Sky Sports on Monday if he was looking forward to some time off in the summer, Schlupp replied: “Time to rest, relax and recover. A bit of golf, and then we see what happens.”
