Make no bones about it, Celtic are in a huge hole, and nobody seems to know the answers to the club’s problems.
Yes, many will point towards Celtic needing to sack Wilfried Nancy, but that won’t hide away from the long-term issues that have been a stain on this club.
Whether that’s several senior Celtic players not being good enough and needing to be sold, the abject recruitment, or the whole board needing to resign.
There were problems long before Nancy arrived, and now matters have been made far worse following Celtic’s defeat to Rangers on Saturday, and it has left John Hartson perplexed.
Name three players you would sell in the current Celtic side

John Hartson’s passionate message after Celtic lose to Rangers
What Celtic fans would do to have a prime Hartson in the team right now. A man of his character and ability is so needed.
But the former striker can only watch on from afar, and going by his social media posts, you can tell that he is hurting by Celtic’s current demise.
Hartson is trying to work out what the Hoops do to try to fix their current issues. From sacking the manager to getting rid of the players, he can’t seem to come up with an answer.
‘I genuinely don’t know where Celtic go from here,’ stated Hartson.
‘Sack the manager and his staff? We need better players with some balls to perform? Keep the manager, give him funds to improve the team? Get rid of 6 players that are simply not good enough… What happens next? F__k knows!
‘You cannot win games of football, conceding 2/3 goals per game. This side definitely cannot. It’s kamikaze football. Yes, great half of football, but games are a 100 mins long nowadays. 45 mins is never good enough, no matter how good you are.’
If Wilfried Nancy was to be sacked, who would you want to become the next Celtic manager?
What next for Celtic and Wilfried Nancy?
Everyone is waiting to see if Celtic will sack Nancy because the supporters, as a collective, have well and truly turned on the Frenchman.
But the fact of the matter is, Nancy is still the Celtic manager, and he signed his first player of the January transfer window, just before the Glasgow derby.
Julián Araujo came on as a second-half substitute, and you wonder if the Celtic board will continue to back Nancy and shut out the outside noise.
If that’s the case, then Celtic have games to win, and it’s Dundee United up next again…
