Celtic’s win over Motherwell was certainly a game of two halves.
Booed off at half-time, Celtic fans let Brendan Rodgers know in no uncertain terms that going in at the break 1-1 was simply not good enough.
Of course, much of the booing was to do with the insipid Celtic performance but in the second half, Rodgers’ side re-grouped and fought back to snatch a win.
And that fightback was down to one player that Peter Grant reckons had a stunning game for Celtic in the Motherwell win.

Peter Grant in awe of Daizen Maeda and tips striker to kickstart Celtic’s season
Grant was speaking about the Celtic win over Motherwell when he couldn’t hold back his admiration for Daizen Maeda’s performance.
Grant told The Go Radio Football Show, “Maeda had an absolute beast of a game. You know, you think he’s going to be one of the first to take off.
“The manager keeps him on, moves him to the left. He starts to get a wee bit more effectual. But then he moves him again into central and he gets the goal.
“You know, and they’re the wee things that can spark everyone and he looked delighted to score and the fans were delighted he scored as well.
“So hopefully he’s going to come back after this break and he’s going to have that wee bit more oomph about him.”
