Wilfried Nancy’s time at Celtic is coming to an end.
That’s according to journalist Peter Martin who has shared an update on social media about the Celtic manager this afternoon.
Nancy has struggled to get a win at the club and after Celtic’s defeat to Dundee United at Tannadice, it appears that the board have seen enough.
Celtic fan anger boiled over as Nancy’s side struggled to hold onto a one goal lead to end the game with a 2-1 defeat to a Dundee United side who haven’t won a game since October.
How many more games are you going to give Wilfried Nancy?
And now, Martin says the Celtic board are speaking to Nancy to end his time as the Hoops boss.

Wilfried Nancy’s ‘two week reign’ as Celtic boss set to end
The Frenchman’s jacket has been on a shoogly peg since the Hearts defeat and that was further compounded by Celtic’s loss to St Mirren in the Premier Sports Cup final.
And after last night’s scenes in Tannadice, it appears the Celtic board have made a decision on the under-fire former Columbus Crew boss.
Martin said on X, “I am led to believe that discussions are now taking place with Wilfried Nancy and the Celtic board to end his two week reign as Celtic manager.
The Celtic board will come under intense scrutiny as will Paul Tisdale who led the search for Brendan Rodgers’ successor.
If the Parkhead executives have anything about them, Nancy will not be the last person behind the scenes to leave the club this week.
Wilfried Nancy’s disastrous Celtic results
It’s not just the results, it’s the performances. A quote that will follow Nancy about like a bad smell should his time as the Celtic boss end.
Here are the results Nancy has presided over that has made his position at the club untenable:
- Celtic 1 v 2 Hearts – Scottish Premiership
- Celtic 0 v 3 Roma – Europa League
- St Mirren 3 v 1 Celtic – Premier Sports Cup
- Dundee United 2 v 1 Celtic – Scottish Premiership
Who Celtic will turn to now is a mystery. Maybe Martin O’Neill will be back in Glasgow sooner than he thinks.
