Former Celtic favourite, Josip Juranovic is reportedly attracting interest from English Premier League side, Fulham.
A report from German outlet Kicker has claimed that the former Celtic full-back is ‘not entirely satisfied’ with the amount of game time he has been getting at the Bundesliga club.
However, the report also caveats that claim by saying that Juranovic is ‘very comfortable’ in Berlin and at the club and that a move this summer is highly unlikely.
Kicker also states that as well as Fulham, there are other English Premier League clubs interested in the Croatian and that these clubs have already ‘signalled interest’ in the 28-year-old defender.
Since joining the Bundesliga club, Juranovic has made a total of 19 appearances for Berlin, scoring four and creating three.
He helped them mount a title challenge and qualify automatically for the Champions League group stages with a fourth-placed finish.
Could Celtic benefit from the future sale of Juranovic?
Juranovic left Celtic in January of this year in a £10m move. The Hoops were paid an initial £7.5m fee with another £2.5m to be paid as add-ons. [Sky Sports]
Although there are no specific details known about what those add-ons could be, you would have to hope that Celtic managed to include a sell-on clause as standard.
At just 28 years of age, the Croatian is entering the peak of his years and Berlin could also command a substantial fee as he still has four years left to run on his current contract.
This is certainly one to keep a close eye on because if Celtic were to benefit from the resale of Juranovic, then I am sure Brendan Rodgers will hold an interest as he looks to continue to spend in this summer’s transfer window.
