Celtic are the favourites to win the Scottish Premiership this season. Just as they are every season.
Despite sitting second in the Scottish Premiership table, Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic still remain odds-on to retain the title.
Rodgers is still unbeaten domestically and his team showed real character after Celtic beat Motherwell at the weekend after battling back from 2-1 down with just 20 minutes to go.
Rangers, on the other hand, are managerless after sacking Russell Martin and ten points behind Celtic with just one win in seven games.
However, that still hasn’t stopped Mark Guidi from making a ‘daft’ title prediction despite the radio pundit admitting Celtic are still favourites.

Mark Guidi tells Celtic he ‘genuinely believes’ Rangers can still win the title
Rangers are yet to travel to the likes of Celtic, Hearts and Hibs and to win the league, they must hope the Hoops and the Tynecastle club lose four games whilst they go unbeaten for the rest of the season.
Despite that, Guidi still thinks the Ibrox club are in with a shout of beating Celtic to the title after Russell Martin was given his marching orders.
Guidi said on The Go Radio Football Show, “My final point, and people might think this is daft, but I genuinely believe that I think the title is still there for Rangers.
“I think if you look on paper, the people have slaughtered the recruitment process, and I get that, but I think there’s a lot of good players there, where you just have a different manager and a different voice to get more out of them.
“Don’t forget you’ve got a January window to come as well. So I definitely think if the Rangers hierarchy make the right appointment, the title race is not over.
“You’re looking at a Celtic team who are wobbly, very, very wobbly. So I still have Celtic as favourites for the title, but all is not lost yet for Rangers. There’s 93 points up for grabs.”
That’s quite a statement from Guidi considering he is usually measured and balanced in delivering his opinion.
Alex Rae’s tears prove who will win the league between Celtic and Rangers
If there ever was a sign that Rangers winning the title from Celtic at this point is a step too far, fans only need to look at what Alex Rae thinks.
The former Rangers coach said, “I think he’s going to a dressing room that, confidence-wise, they’re on their knees. You look at the group, it would take some turning around to be successful in the league.
“I think 11 points. I think it’s less with Celtic, but Hearts look really good contenders to kick on and be successful.
“I think this season in terms of winning the league, I think it’s a big ask whoever comes in, even at this early stage.”
Whilst Celtic fans will never admit the title race is over, it would take a monumental collapse of huge proportions to allow Rangers to get back into the race right now.
