The Vaclav Cerny Celtic Park incident is certainly grabbing the headlines this week.
The Rangers midfielder has caused a storm after Cerny sprayed Celtic fans with water as he celebrated his team’s last-minute Celtic Park winner.
Cerny tried to explain his Celtic Park behaviour away by claiming the media attention it has been getting as ‘absurd’
However, as a professional footballer taking part in a Glasgow Derby, Cerny should know better than to fan the flames of a fixture that had already been hotly contested and was boiling up after Hamza Igamanne’s winner.
But as the football authorities and Police Scotland look into Cerny’s behaviour, Simon Jordan had a weird Celtic take on how he thinks the club are going to play this incident out.

Simon Jordan’s reason for Celtic making ‘a four-act play’ out of Cerny’s behaviour is really strange
Asked if Cerny is likely to get something like a fine for what he did at Celtic Park, Jordan said that is the most likely course of action before he claimed the Parkhead club will likely make a mountain out of the incident.
Jordan told talkSPORT, “Yeah, if nothing else, to send a message out that ultimately you have taken it seriously, to negate any other concerns or to maybe head something off the pass.
“Because, no doubt people are going to make a four-act play out of this now. The Old Bill are going to make a four-act play out of it.
“Probably the Scottish Football Association are going to make a four-act play out of it and to some extent, so will, Celtic, because Celtic got beat.”
Simon Jordan clearly never read Celtic’s statement on Vaclav Cerny
Celtic have responded to the Cerny incident and released a statement the following day.
Celtic’s statement read, “With regards to the match at Celtic Park, we can (also) confirm that the Club has raised concerns regarding members of the away team engaging with Celtic supporters with the relevant authorities.”
‘Raising concerns’ is hardly making a ‘four-act play’. In fact, had Celtic not said anything about it then the fans would, rightly, be disappointed,
the club have said nothing else since on the matter and are unlikely to until the relevant authorities complete whatever investigations they have to to wrap this matter up.
