Celtic put on brave performances against Bayern Munich over two legs in the Champions League.

In the first leg at Celtic Park, the Bhoys narrowly lost to Bayern after a late fightback almost saw Brendan Rodgers snatch a draw after going down 2-0 early in the second half.

In last night’s draw in the Allianz Arena, the Bhoys almost took Bayern to extra time as the Celtic manager delivered a tactical masterclass against Vincent Kompany’s side.

Nicolas Kuhn put the Hoops 1-0 up midway through the second half and as Chris Sutton described the goal live on Sky Sports, the camera caught one pundit’s superb reaction as the former striker described the events of the goal.

Lee Hendrie’s class reaction to Celtic hero Nicolas Kuhn’s goal vs Bayern Munich

As Sutton was about to describe Kuhn’s goal, the Sky Sports camera flashed over the panel and caught pundit, Lee Hendrie gesticulating to the Celtic hero as he spoke about the Allianz Arena goal.

Hendrie said, “I told ya!” as he wagged his finger in celebration

Chris Sutton praises Nicolas Kuhn as Celtic ‘shocked’ Bayern Munich

Sutton could hardly contain himself as he described Celtic’s goal as the former striker hailed Nicolas Kuhn for giving Bayern a ‘shock’ in Munich.

Sutton said, “Unbelievable Celtic, in the second half. They haven’t really created an opportunity. It’s careless play at the back for Bayern Munich initially had a meter linked up with Daizen Maeda and Maeda just kept running.

“Didn’t look like how would win the challenge, and the ball goes through to Nicolas Kuhn, who missed that chance in the first half, and he just settles himself down one v one, with Neuer and picks his spot brilliantly, places it into the far corner.

“I mean, brilliant from Celtic’s perspective. It’s careless play, actually. In fact, it’s Guerrero the left back, and he settles himself against his former club, and finds the far corner.

“I mean, what an important goal this is for Celtic, Celtic and shocked Bayern Munich.”

Celtic are earning all the plaudits after almost pulling off one of the biggest results in their European history.

Just a whisker away from recording their first-ever win in Germany, Brendan Rodgers’ side return to Glasgow with their heads held high this week.
