Snoop Dogg has revealed who he wants to become the new Celtic manager.

The Hoops are still looking for a long-term replacement for Brendan Rodgers following his resignation, and are relying on Martin O’Neill to steady the ship for now.

Paul Merson admitted he is worried by the Celtic shortlist, which includes names like Robbie Keane and Kieran McKenna, while Gordon Strachan thinks the Hoops will appoint someone in December.

Speculation continues to run rife and Snoop Dogg, who is one of many celebrity Celtic fans, has weighed in on his chosen man for the job.

Snoop Dogg wants Celtic to bring Ange Postecoglou back

Reports have claimed that Ange Postecoglou is unlikely to return to Celtic, but that hasn’t stopped people praying he will return to Parkhead.

The US rapper is one of those and the Daily Record revealed that the Bhoys supporter would be keen to see the Australian comeback.

He said: “I love sport, and in sport players leave, coaches leave, and you move on.

“You got to give Martin O’Neill big respect, he is coming back when we need him. I think you got to bring Ange back, the club are gonna do what they are gonna do but the fans would love to see him back.”

In the past, Snoop Dogg has said he has wanted to invest in Celtic, ever since becoming a supporter in 2005.

Snoop Dogg has spoken to Ange Postecoglou before

Snoop Dogg is a huge admirer of Postecoglou, and the two have actually been in touch before.

After guiding Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title in 2022, the Hoops hero revealed that he had taken a call from the global star.

“I’ve had all sorts. You find that so many people support this football club,” he told the Daily Telegraph.

“Pretty significant people across the board. Eddie McGuire’s a massive Celtic fan because of his dad. I’m pretty close to Luke Beveridge, Craig Bellamy, Brian Goorjian, Neil Craig, Eddie Jones and many others.”
