John Hartson has shared what he’s heard about Liel Abada’s immediate future at Celtic.

Abada’s future at the club looks uncertain as he struggles to recapture the form that made him a mainstay in the Celtic team under Ange Postecoglou.

And as the Israeli winger deals with personal issues, Hartson believes that now is the perfect time for him to leave Celtic after what he’s heard recently.

Hartson said [The Go Radio Football Show], “I believe he will go. I think that’s the talk. And he wants to do is what is best for him and his family.

“He’s not a regular at this moment in time. I don’t want to go into what’s happening around his country and everything else, but I think there’s been sort of in-depth talks about him leaving the club.

“Where he goes next, I have no idea. But you look at some press conferences, and listening to Brendan talking as well, it very much looks as if he and his agents will be will be pretty much looking for another club. That’s how I see it.”

Liel Abada looks certain to leave Celtic soon

Even though the transfer window is closed in Scotland, there are still options open to Liel Abada if he wants to leave this month.

The recent speculation linking Abada with a move to the MLS took a shove in the right direction after his agents recently jetted into Scotland for talks.

However, with no progress reported on that yet, Abada’s future still hangs in the balance but is unlikely to feature for Celtic anytime soon.

All that the 22-year-old and Celtic can hope for is a speedy resolution so that Abada can progress his career elsewhere and the club can focus on the title run-in.

With twelve games to go, every game is crucial for Celtic and they cannot afford to have the Abada saga taking focus off what is going to be a vital part of the season for the club.
