Celtic fans are at the end of their tether with the Parkhead board.
There is a growing number of Celtic Supporters Associations and fan groups assembling to demand answers about the direction the club is going in under the current stewardship.
Many fans are pointing the finger at the likes of Michael Nicholson, Peter Lawwell and Dermot Desmond for the lack of significant transfer activity this summer.
Especially after Celtic were knocked out of the Champions League by Kairat Almaty after selling players like Kyogo Furuhashi and Nicolas Kuhn and failing to replace them with others of similar or better quality.
And as fan anger grows with many looking for action against the Celtic board, the Celtic Trust have revealed what they have suspected about Dermot Desmond’s role at the club.

Celtic Trust warn the board that ‘tactics are being discussed’ on fan action
The Celtic Trust have voiced their concerns and spokesperson, Jeanette Findlay, has told the Hoops board that fans are now talking ‘tactics’ about what action they can take to force change at the club.
Findlay told PLZ Soccer, “I mean, obviously those are the kinds of tactics that are being discussed on social media and self evidently, that would be in the mix of things that we may consider.
“But that’s not to say that that is the tactic that will be chosen, because that’s a decision for us all collectively.
“And I think I’ve already said, and I’m going to say again, Celtic fans have a long and very proud history of very effective campaigning.
“And so we would choose a campaign that was most likely to deliver success. It won’t be a knee-jerk reaction. It won’t be something that we can shout about and then it won’t actually happen.
“Because, despite what the Celtic board might think about us, there are some very intelligent seasoned campaigners among the Celtic support.
“And I think that when lots of different options would be discussed, I don’t think we’d be choosing something that we didn’t think could garner majority support.”
The Celtic Trust’s ‘suspicion’ about Dermot Desmond
Celtic fans have long thought that there are people on the board who take far too much to do with which players are signed for the club and how the club is run as a whole.
And that view also appears to be shared by the Celtic Trust.
Findlay continued, “In our view, the Trust, I mean, he [Dermot Desmond] has far too much to say for himself for somebody who’s just a shareholder.
“The suspicion is that his day-to-day intervention in the club, either directly or through his proxies is far too much.
“It’s not good corporate governance, and the Trust has been saying this for a long time.
“Moreover, we have a whole set of executive directors who have been there far too long, present no effective challenge, and really don’t do the job they are there to do, which is to hold the board to account and they simply don’t do that.”
There is a groundswell of opinion amongst the vast majority of Celtic supporters that change is required at board level to take the club forward.
And it appears that since the transfer window has closed, that opinion is starting to turn into action and it’s not good news for the people at the top at Celtic.
