It’s certainly been a bit of a manic week for the Celtic supporters.

After Celtic’s shambolic summer transfer window, the Parkhead support have been vocal with their condemnation of the Parkhead board.

The Green Brigade alongside Celtic supporters associations and fan media outlets have all been voicing their frustrations as they seek answers from the people in charge at Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers voiced his frustrations about the lack of transfer activity and needing to strengthen the Celtic first-team on numerous occasions over the summer, but that was to no avail.

And now, as Nottingham Forest are expected to hire Ange Postecoglou as their new manager, Ally McCoist and Jeff Stelling delivered their verdicts on whether or not Celtic boss Rodgers would have been a good appointment for the Premier League club.

Stelling and McCoist ‘swipe right’ on Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers for Nottingham Forest

Speaking about the possibility of Rodgers joining Forest this season, McCoist and Stelling were playing ‘Transfer Tinder’ where they decide to swipe right if Rodgers is right for the Premier League or left if he is not.

McCoist told talkSPORT, “I’m not sure Brendan’s sending signals that he’s happy up the road, and clearly Celtic are nowhere near as strong as they have been.

“I’m sure they did not have a great [transfer] window. Oh dear me, from Forest’s point of view, I’m going three rights today.

“I’m just going to annoy the Celtic supporters.”

Stelling replied, “I think the same thing with Brendan. I think he’ll be really disappointed with the transfer window.

“Really disappointed with the transfer window and I wonder what more he is going to achieve at Celtic so I would swipe right.”

Would Celtic fans blame Rodgers if exit to Nottingham Forest did happen?

Many Celtic supporters are still hurt at the way Rodgers left the club first time around so how would they react if Forest did manage to prise him away this time round?

Looking at the online reaction to the way Rodgers has been treated by the Celtic board, the vast majority of Celtic supporters certainly would not blame the Hoops boss if he walked away this summer.

However, with the Nottingham Forest job now out of the question, Rodgers will remain the Celtic boss for the time being with fans hoping that will be the case until at least the end of this season.
