Since signing for the club from Vissel Kobe, Kyogo has scored an incredible 54 goals in 83 games. 34 of those goals came last season when he finished as the league’s top goalscorer on 27.

The Japanese striker has single-handedly won the league cup for Celtic twice with a double in consecutive finals against Hibs and Rangers. He also won the PFA Player of the Year and Celtic’s Player of the Year last season.

It is little wonder the club tied him down to an extended contract especially after recent links touting him for a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
