Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou is enjoying a well-deserved rest after two hard seasons at Tottenham.
Postecoglou left Celtic for Spurs after sealing the treble in his final season at Parkhead and in his first year at the club led them to fifth place in the Premier League.
However, last season, Postecoglou found life at Tottenham tough as the London club dropped to 17th in the league.
But despite winning the Europa League with Spurs, Daniel Levy sacked the former Celtic boss and replaced him with former Brentford boss Thomas Frank.
And the new Tottenham boss had nothing but good things to say about Postecoglou as he took the Spurs hot seat.

Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou is a Tottenham ‘legend’
Frank was hired by Tottenham last week having left Levy impressed with his record with Brentford in the Premier League.
And when asked about replacing the Australian after he won Tottenham’s first-ever European trophy, Frank was more than complimentary about the ex-Celtic boss.
Frank told Sky Sports, “I think Ange has done something special. He’ll forever be a legend in Tottenham.
“It’s important to understand we all stand on the shoulders of others. I’m going in on the foundation Ange built, and his coaching staff, and I’m very humble about that. I’ll do my very best to continue the great work he put in.
“The feeling, the excitement, the joy and the happiness in the fans’ faces, the pictures were ‘wow’.
“Hopefully, we can create more of those moments. That will be the ultimate dream: to do that and build on that.”
Why Daniel Levy preferred Thomas Frank to Celtic icon Ange Postecoglou
Thomas Frank has been impressive managing Brentford and has kept them in the Premier League since their promotion to the top division in 2021.
After finishing 10th last season, Levy headhunted the Danish gaffer to take over from Postecoglou next season.
Here is how both managers have fared:
| Manager record | Played | Won | Drew | Last | Points per game |
| Thomas Frank at Brentford | 317 | 136 | 71 | 110 | 1.51 |
| Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham | 101 | 47 | 14 | 40 | 1.53 |
| Ange Postecoglou at Celtic | 113 | 83 | 12 | 18 | 2.31 |
Will Frank be taking on another impossible task and find Spurs to be a poisoned chalice like Postecoglou did? Time will tell.
