Luis Palma’s Celtic career certainly has been a strange one.

Signed for £3.5m by Brendan Rodgers in 2023, Palma had a sparkling start to his Hoops career with 10 goals and 10 assists in his first four months at Celtic.

However, a dip in form over the Christmas period of that season saw the Honduran drop out of Rodgers’ plans, and after making just 20 appearances this season, mostly from the Celtic bench, Palma saw a loan move to Olympiacos materialise in January.

Despite that, the Celtic winger has still retained his international place with Honduras, and after Palma scored a brace in the 5-3 win over Bermuda earlier this week, the 25-year-old was at it again last night as he helped Honduras qualify for the Gold Cup.

Luis Palma’s post-Celtic loan form continues with another Honduras goal

Palma scored his fourth international goal in last night’s 2-0 win over Bermuda as the Celtic attacker sealed his place in the prestigious Gold Cup.

Palma scored the Catarachos’ second in a stuffy game where Bermuda put up a decent fight in a match Honduras was expected to win easily and with a big margin.

How Luis Palma is doing since leaving Celtic on loan

Since leaving Celtic on loan, Palma has made eight appearances for Olympiacos which includes two outings in the Europa League.

Out of those eight appearances, Palma has also scored one and created one as he looks to recapture the form that made him a regular Celtic first-team starter under Rodgers.

So, with that in mind, here is how Palma is getting on as he enjoys a temporary spell at Olympiacos:

Whether Palma has a future at Celtic beyond this summer is not quite known yet, but if he continues his current form up until then, he will certainly give Brendan Rodgers plenty to think about.
