Celtic hero Neil Lennon’s return as the Dunfermline manager has been box office over the last couple of weeks.

Lennon ended an almost year-long exile from football management as the former Celtic boss took over the reins of Scottish Championship side Dunfermline.

In his first game in charge, Lennon faced up to Celtic hero Scott Brown at Ayr United as the Hoops duo locked horns for the first time in the dugout together.

Brown was victorious in that match with Ayr running out 3-0 winners, but in last night’s fixture against Livingston, Lennon’s side ‘bullied’ David Martindale’s team to a 1-0 win, and there was another Celtic connection to the victory.

Ewan Otoo thunders home Dunfermline winner for ex-Celtic boss Neil Lennon

Ewan Otoo left Celtic last summer after a successful loan spell at Dunfermline persuaded that Fife club to offer him a permanent deal.

Since then, the former Celtic Academy graduate has come on leaps and bounds and Otoo has been deployed to a position completely different to what he was used to at Celtic.

Now in a more advanced role, Otoo stepped up last night and helped to deliver a goal, which proved to be pivotal in delivering Lennon’s first winner as Dunfermline boss.

Now at Dunfermline for almost two full seasons, Otoo is getting plenty of first-team football at the Championship strugglers.

Including his loan spell at The Pars, Otoo has featured 90 times for the Championship side winning a League One title in the process. Otoo has also scored six goals and created two in his time at the club.

Just ten games of 100 appearances, Otoo has proven to be an integral part of Dunfermline’s side and, hopefully, we could see him return to Celtic Park one day if they get promotion to the Scottish top-flight.
