Celtic’s draw with Rangers keeps Brendan Rodgers’ mammoth 17-point gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership table intact as the Celtic boss chases another treble.

Rangers must have thought they were about to win their third Glasgow Derby in a row before Celtic striker Adam Idah’s equaliser looked like it was being ruled out for offside.

But as VAR confirmed the equaliser was legal, what Idah did in front of the Rangers fans after was class and it was a moment Celtic fans may well have missed.

Fans had to anxiously wait a few minutes as VAR ran the rule over whether or not the Celtic goal was onside and once the video ref confirmed the goal was legal, Idah did this:

Idah was clearly sending the home fans a wee reminder right before he turned back towards the Celtic supporters to give them another cheer.

Idah has been under pressure recently after his goalscoring record at Celtic has been scrutinised but what a way to answer his critics with another goal against Rangers.

Idah has now scored three goals in eight games against Rangers over two spells at Celtic.

Fans will remember his goal in Philippe Clement’s ‘moral victory’ in Celtic’s 3-3 draw with Rangers last season.

But the best goal was his winner when Celtic beat Rangers in the Scottish Cup final.

Hopefully, the big Irishman will produce the goods again against Aberdeen this month as Celtic chase a world-record ninth domestic treble.
