‘Another’ – Chris Sutton mocks the sacked Philippe Clement after Celtic’s 1-1 draw at Rangers

Celtic ensured that Barry Ferguson is yet to win a game at Ibrox as Rangers manager.

That happened after Celtic’s 1-1 draw against Rangers on Sunday, with goals coming in either half from the much-talked-about number nines – Cyriel Dessers and Adam Idah.

Ferguson replaced the sacked Philippe Clement in February until the end of the season, but the former midfielder is yet to taste victory on home soil since taking to the dugout.

One week after Celtic won the Premiership title, they headed to their rivals’ backyard to celebrate, but just couldn’t secure the victory.

Daizen Maeda had a guilt-edge chance to score seconds before the full-time whistle, but he couldn’t get his shot away, nor was he able to find the pass for Jonny Kenny.

As always, Chris Sutton was on hand to fire shots at the opposition.

Chris Sutton mocks sacked Philippe Clement after Celtic draw at Rangers

The Clement era was a right laugh, and it was a shame he was sacked, but that’s what Rodgers specialises in – seeing off Rangers managers.

Last April, the two clubs recorded an entertaining and enthralling 3-3 draw at Ibrox, including Maeda scoring after 21 seconds.

The title was Celtic’s back then, including the fact that the points were shared, but for some odd reason, Clement came out and stated that it was a ‘moral’ victory for his side.

To nobody’s surprise, Sutton hasn’t forgotten about that, and he mentioned it in his own typical style on social media.

‘Maybe another moral victory for Rangers?,’ wrote Sutton.

What were the embarrassing comments Clement made?

It’s clear to see why Celtic have been so dominant in Scotland, everything from recruitment to the relentless mindset has been brilliant for a very long time now.

The same can’t be said for Rangers, who have tried every manager they could, yet they all fall flat on their face by watching Celtic win the title again.

Clement was no different, but he sure embarrassed himself last season with his comments post the draw between the two clubs.

“I’m happy about the reaction, they showed personality and at the end, we are the moral winners of this fight, of this game… with a lot of passion, everything these supporters want, everything this club wants,” stated Clement to Sky Sports.
