Celtic’s hunt for fresh talent continues as Norwegian international Felix Horn Myhre enters the transfer conversation.
Martin O’Neill added Tomas Cvancara as Celtic’s second signing of the January transfer window and it appears the Hoops boss wants more.
The Celtic boss has been adamant all month that more players are required as O’Neill looks to bolster his chances of defending the title.

‘Big club Celtic in the picture’ for Brann’s Felix Horn Myhre
Myhre becomes the latest player to be linked to Celtic as the Parkhead club face competition from Brondby to land the Norwegian international.
Journalist Farzam Abolhosseini posted on X, “Brøndby is once again set to strengthen its squad with another star signing for midfield.
“The blue and yellows are ready with a bid of three million euros, 22.5 million Danish kroner, for Norwegian international Felix Horn Myhre from Brann.
“Big club Celtic is also in the picture.”
So who is Myhre and why are Celtic looking at another midfielder?
Why Celtic want ‘Norway’s best midfielder’ Felix Horn Myhre
Myhre is a 26-year-old Norwegian international midfielder who has five caps and two goals for his country.
Predominantly a central midfielder, Myhre can be deployed as a number six. Formerly of Bodo/Glimt, the Brann star won the Norwegian Cup in 2022 with the Norwegian club and it remains his only piece of silverware to date.
With 281 career appearances, Myhre has scored 40 goals and provided 39 assists, which isn’t bad for a midfielder whose game is mostly defensive.
Indeed, Myhre is so highly thought of, Brann manager Freyr Alexandersson once raged about Bodo/Glimt’s interest in taking him back.
Alexandersson told Nettavisen back in September 2025, “Bodø/Glimt think they can come in on the last day of the transfer window and buy Norway’s best midfielder.
