Celtic stretched their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership even after losing to Hibs at Easter Road.
The Bhoys’ defeat to Hibs opened the door for Rangers to close the gap at the top of the league to ten points if the Ibrox club beat St Mirren at home.
Rangers spurned the chance and Celtic’s points gap at the top remains intact and the Ibrox result has led BBC pundit, Leanne Crichton to make a bold prediction that will upset the blue half of Glasgow.

BBC pundit makes a Celtic prediction that will worry Rangers fans
Speaking after both Celtic and Rangers lost at the weekend, Crichton says the Ibrox club ‘won’t get anywhere near’ Celtic even if Brendan Rodgers didn’t win another game this season.
Crichton told The Scottish Football Podcast [42m 55s], “I’m not sure that I’ve seen any Rangers player this afternoon, body language-wise, response-wise, performance-wise, creating opportunities, defending bodies on the line.
“There wasn’t much of that. There was none of it and there’s been very little throughout the season as well. And the reality for Rangers just now is, that it wouldn’t matter whether Celtic didn’t win another game between now and the end of the season.
“Rangers still won’t get anywhere near them because the reality is they’ve never been able to show consistency under Philippe Clement. So it’s alarming times.
“I do believe that today is going to be the one that kind of tips the iceberg and there might need to be a decision taken which will be a shame for any manager to find themselves in that position.
“But I think ultimately, as I say, when fans start to vote with their feet in a stadium like Ibrox that is left virtually empty by the end of the 90 minutes of football this afternoon, something has to be done.”
Celtic must ask questions of VAR over disallowed Hibs goal
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers was very vocal about VAR’s decision to rule the goal out but surely the club must seek clarity on how the decision was made.
Willie Collum will undoubtedly speak out at some point this week in his VAR Review Show so it will be interesting to hear the audio and the Head of Referees’ opinion on this.
Thankfully for Rodgers and Celtic the denial of the goal didn’t impact the club materially as Rangers lost on the same day.
But sooner or later a poor decision will cost the club and action needs to be taken in terms of retraining the officials to ensure that this does not happen in the future not just to Celtic but to clubs across the country as well.
