Kasper Hogh’s slow start should not put Celtic off a potential move

Kasper Hogh has struggled to hit the same heights as last season in the early stages of the 2026 campaign for Bodo/Glimt, but that shouldn’t concern Celtic.

Hogh has been linked with the Hoops after a prolific season last year in which he scored 23 goals in 42 games.

His performances in the Champions League have had plenty of clubs on red alert but, if there are clubs having second thoughts about signing him, the Bhoys should take advantage.

How much should Celtic pay to sign Kasper Hogh?

Kasper Hogh is not a flash in the pan, he is a proven goal scorer

The early domestic season return shows four appearances, no goals, and two assists, which is a clear drop in finishing output.

Bodo’s season has only just started due to the Norwegian domestic league being a summer competition.

While that may not be as impressive as previous years, Sofascore has still given Hogh an average rating of 6.80 across the season.

Last year was also a prolonged campaign for the 25-year-old after Bodo reached the last 16 of the Champions League.

Celtic should still gamble on Kasper Hogh if he is available

It’s a likelihood that the Hoops would have to break their transfer record to sign Hogh this summer.

Speculation about his future may be getting to him, especially with the summer window opening either way.

Celtic’s reported interest has cooled of late, but if they do still have the Denmark international on their shortlist, they should be targeting him.
