Perrie Edwards brought a touch of Celtic to TRNSMT in Glasgow as her festival appearance sparked a wave of attention online after she was pictured wearing a Hoops shirt.
The former Little Mix star shared images from the festival which quickly circulated among Celtic supporters.
With her husband Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain ending a successful six month spell at Celtic with a league and Scottish Cup double, the images will undoubtedly fuel chat among the fans on whether or not he will extend his stay in Glasgow for another season.
Would you extend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s contract?
Celtic presence at TRNSMT turns a festival moment into a talking point
TRNSMT has become one of Glasgow’s biggest summer stages, and Perrie wearing the Celtic jersey with ‘Chamberlain’ on the back of it travelled fast across social media.
Of course, this is not the first time Perrie has shared a photo of herself in Celtic gear on Instagram and she has also admitted that she would love to ‘stay in Glasgow‘ a little bit longer as Oxlade-Chamberlain’s Parkhead future still hangs in the balance.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s Celtic future
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain arrived at Celtic in the January window to help bolster the midfield for the title run-in.
With 12 appearances and two goals, Oxlade-Chamberlain’s part in Celtic’s double was brief, but effective.
And now, with his contract expired, Celtic do have the option to extend the deal for a further season.
And if O’Neill triggers that option, at least Oxlade-Chamberlain knows he has the full backing of his wife to continue his career in the green and white Hoops.
