Craig Bellamy is one of the names that has been thrown around to become the new Celtic manager, and he will look to put his own stamp on the squad.
Charlie Mulgrew has endorsed Bellamy to become the new Hoops boss when Martin O’Neill steps away from his role as interim manager in the summer.
Bellamy has stayed quiet in regards to the links with Celtic but, if appointed, here are three players he may look to bring to Parkhead with him.
I want the next manager of Celtic to be…
Sorba Thomas (Stoke City)
With Daizen Maeda likely to depart this summer, a new first-choice left winger is required, and Sorba Thomas is a great option.
Thomas has received regular call-ups to the Wales national team and was named in the Championship team of the season after registering 10 goals and 12 assists.
The winger is 27 and in the peak of his career and could be the perfect option to provide plenty of goal contributions from out wide.
Josh Cullen (Burnley)
Josh Cullen is set to suffer a second relegation in three seasons with Burnley and may be tempted to try something new this time.
Cullen was instrumental in Burnley’s promotion to the Premier League when Bellamy was working as Vincent Kompany’s assistant.

He is the club captain at the Clarets but not out of contract until 2027, meaning that Celtic will still be expected to pay for his services.
Primarily a defensive-minded midfielder, he would be a great long-term solution to replace Callum McGregor.
Peter Christiansen (Viking)
Peter Christiansen is a centre-forward who can also operate across attacking positions. His profile is built on movement and positional variation rather than static play.
Christiansen’s ability to drift wide or drop deeper would add unpredictability to Celtic’s attack. That movement would create space for teammates and disrupt defensive structures.
The 2026 transfer window is still months away, but what is the number one position Celtic need to improve this summer?📝
Tell us why you picked that position
Last season he scored 18 goals to fire Viking to an unlikely title win. He has one from four games in all competitions but could be a cheaper alternative to Kasper Hogh.
