Celtic are looking for that all-important striker before transfer deadline day.
Kyogo Furuhashi left Celtic after his wish was granted to end his trophy-laden and goal-crazy stay in Glasgow.
As a result, the powers that be at Parkhead are now trying to scramble over the line and bring in a much-needed striker for Brendan Rodgers to work with.
Let’s be honest, the fans won’t be happy if a replacement isn’t brought in, especially with Celtic in the knockout stages of the Champions League and still pushing for the Treble.
But, one thing is for sure, if Celtic bring in the striker they want, you just know he will be the right fit because of the club’s record in the transfer market.
And Andy Halliday had an interesting take on heavily linked target Mathias Kvistgaarden.
Andy Halliday backs Celtic to ‘make a profit’ on Mathias Kvistgaarden
Open Goal was talking about who Celtic could play up top on a regular basis now that Kyogo is out of the door.
Of course, Adam Idah holds the key, but if that new signing comes in, then he will want to make that starting spot his own.
Halliday lauded Celtic’s recruitment and how the club has made over £200 million in player sales.
The Motherwell midfielder feels, if a player like Kvistgaarden joins, then down the line, Celtic will ‘make a profit’ on him.

“I thought that was the set-up,” said Halliday. “I thought Maeda would go as the number nine and Jota on the left.
“But Rodgers came out and said that they want another striker. They are linked with the boy from Brondby (Mathias Kvistgaarden).
“I don’t know much about this boy from Brondby, either. See the reason Celtic have sold £230 million is because their recruitment has been good. You are going to back this boy is going to come in and again it’s going to be another one they will make profit on.”
What is the latest on Celtic signing Kvistgaarden?
In the crazy world of transfers, anything and everything can change in an instant, so don’t be surprised if that happens here.
But, just over 24 hours before the window slams shut, it seems as though Celtic won’t be landing Kvistgaarden’s talents.
Talks between Celtic and Brondby for the versatile forward have ‘broken down’, according to Sky Sports.
It cited a ‘gap in valuation’, and you wonder, if that striker still hasn’t arrived hours before the deadline if that gap will be filled.
