The very latest Celtic transfers news and rumours on January 29 including updates on Mathias Kvistgaarden, Josh Dede, Tammer Bany and Sondre Ørjasæter.

Kvistgaarden talks ‘in full swing’

Celtic are long-term admirers of Mathias Kvistgaarden and had him scouted as recently as November.

That was of note specifically after Brendan Rodgers said he wanted attackers while also revealing recently that Kyogo had told the Hoops he wanted to leave at the beginning of the season.

Kyogo would move to Rennes and that has accelerated Celts‘ desire for a striker and now Bold claim discussions are “in full swing” over Kvistgaarden albeit his side Brondby do not want to sell him right now.

Their hand may be forced with Frankfurt also keen and now could be the ideal time to land top dollar.

But it remains to be seen whether it will be Parkhead that he ends up at on February 3 or not.

Dede Boro medical pending

Youngster Josh Dede is reportedly set to leave Celtic for Middlesbrough pending his tests.

The 19-year-old did not get a crack with the Scottish Premiership leaders and has now agreed to leave for the Riverside.

He will head to their academy squad having come to terms on his exit from Glasgow and will be met by a familiar face in Ben Doak who is there on loan from Liverpool.

Bany interest cooled

Tammer Bany was yesterday named as a possible £2.2million transfer option for Celtic given the nominal fee and the demands for a new frontman to come to the club quickly.

The Hoops were linked among the “swarm” of interest for the Randers forward.

67 Hail Hail understands, however, that no approach has yet been made to the Danish outfit which may hint to Celts keeping the door open for Kvistgaarden as their number one priority.

Sondre Ørjasæter was the subject of a concrete Celtic offer this week, as we told you.

And now the playmaker, 21, has been asked specifically about the interest in Scotland.

He said: “Of course it’s cool that big clubs are interested.

“But I don’t want to comment on rumours. Doesn’t affect me at all. I just try to relax, train well every day and have fun with the guys on the team.”
