Will Celtic get a striker in before the transfer deadline slams shut?
The Celtic Park faithful have been patient enough because they have waited since the January transfer window to get that proven goalscorer in when Kyogo Furuhashi left.
But the critics won’t be surprised that nobody has yet arrived, and then on transfer deadline day, Celtic have been dealt a blow with Kasper Dolberg.
Celtic were hoping to sign Dolberg, but now he is on his way to his former club Ajax from Anderlecht before the window slams shut.
Added to that, Adam Idah has gone to Swansea City, and the Hoops have been told there is a striker on their doorstep to bring in.

Celtic told to pay ‘£5 million’ for Kieron Bowie
Kieron Bowie has been a refreshing positive for Hibernian, and it has resulted in him earning a call-up to the Scotland squad.
But with Celtic still searching for goals, Richard Foster has told the Hoops to sign Bowie from Hibs for ’£5 million’, as he told Go Radio.
Foster explained the ‘clever’ skills Bowie has at his disposal, including how he is ‘better’ than Idah.
“Charlie (Mulgrew), would you go to Hibs and try to sign Kieron Bowie?” asked Foster. “David Gray will hate me for saying that.
“But if I am Celtic right now, then I am looking at his profile and going, he holds the ball up. He has got great quality. He scores goals.
“Celtic, the way that they play, they need that number nine to be a focal point to get them up the pitch. He is good in the air. He can bring the ball down from a distance. He is clever enough to play little passes.
“You are probably going to get him for £4 or £5 million right now. He has just got into the Scotland squad.
“By the way, if you are Kieron Bowie, you are saying, ‘I am going to go there and play.’ It’s not like it’s a project. They don’t have a natural number nine, especially with Idah (joining Swansea). I think he is a better player than Idah.”
Charlie Mulgrew on Bowie at Celtic
The calls for Celtic to sign Bowie were backed up by Charlie Mulgrew, especially given that he is a domestic player.
Mulgrew also wanted to highlight how ‘successful’ Celtic and Rangers teams of the past have always had that ‘Scottish’ core.
On whether Mulgrew would throw money at Bowie: “100%,” he responded. “I would be willing to take a Scottish lad in.
“I think every successful Celtic and Rangers team has had a core of Scottish players there. I would have no doubt in going and getting him.”
