Celtic have two huge games coming up this month.
The Champions League returns after a small break and the final few hurdles remain as Celtic look to progress to the knockout stages.
On Wednesday night, Brendan Rodgers will be hoping for a much-needed win against bottom-of-the-table Young Boys, who have lost every match during the newly-formed league phase.
Then it’s a tricky trip to the Midlands to take on Aston Villa, who are looking for a top-eight finish and could have it confirmed if they beat Monaco and other results go in their favour.
By the time that fixture comes about on January 29, Celtic’s squad could look rather interesting because only a few days will remain for the winter transfer window to slam shut.
There has been a lot of noise around who could be moving to Parkhead this month, including the possible return of Kieran Tierney.
But Billy Dodds wanted to dismiss the thought and suggestion of one man leaving Celtic.
Billy Dodds says it would be ‘strange’ if Kyogo Furuhashi left Celtic
There have been some interesting rumours around Kyogo Furuhashi this month and you wonder if there is no smoke without fire.
Atlanta United are seemingly keen on Kyogo, with even the MLS’s official website writing a report on a move, before deleting it.
Either way, Dodds stated that Celtic’s Japanese superstar simply can’t leave and it would be ‘strange’ for the champions to let him go given how things are going in Europe, as he told The Warm-Up.

“It would be strange for them to do business right now,” said Dodds. “I know there probably is interest in them.
“But you can swat that to one side and just get him to concentrate and maybe let him do what he wants to do at the end of the season.
“But with the Champions League, it would be strange if Celtic let him go. To go and gamble by changing it when they are doing so well in the Champions League because that’s all they have to look at right now.”
Celtic have a big Kyogo call to make this summer
Adam Idah is struggling and Johnny Kenny is hoping to cement himself in the first team, as Celtic’s forward line needs some tweaking for next season.
It would be good to see Celtic sign another centre-forward and Rodgers has openly spoken about wanting another forward in the building.
Perhaps that would take the pressure off Kyogo, who compared to his Ange Postecoglou days, isn’t looking as lively as he used to, but is still producing big goals.
It would be great to see Kyogo stay on, especially given that he is nearing the 100-goal mark in Celtic colours.
