Celtic are looking to boost their forward line before the January transfer window slams shut.
It has been an interesting month for Brendan Rodgers because it exploded into life after Celtic’s win over Young Boys in the Champions League last Wednesday.
As fans celebrated Celtic securing play-off football, news quickly broke that Kyogo Furuhashi was about to join Rennes and now he has completed a move to the French club.
Yes, Jota has returned to Celtic to add more firepower, flair and energy to the forward line, but Rodgers is still looking for added quality and numbers.
There was talk of Celtic looking at Louie Barry, but it has been reported by the Hull Daily Mail that the Aston Villa star is close to joining Hull City in the Championship.
Even when Kyogo was still at the club, Rodgers spoke about wanting to enhance his forward line, so you will be surprised if at least one more name doesn’t arrive before next Monday’s deadline.
Celtic bid for Sondre Orjasaeter
Celtic have been great in bringing in unproven and unknown talents, before transforming them into superstars.
Matt O’Riley is now a Premier League player after his success at Celtic, whilst Nicolas Kuhn has transformed this season and is the club’s best player.
Could the next name through the door come in the form of, Sondre Orjasaeter?
67 Hail Hail revealed on Tuesday that Celtic have put in a bid for the 21-year-old, who operates as a left-sided winger and plays for Sarsporg in Norway.

What Brendan Rodgers said about Celtic’s bid for Orjasaeter
If Celtic had signed Barry, then he would have played on the left, where he thrived on loan at Stockport County, and also with the ability to play down the middle.
Orjasaeter is of that mould, so you wonder if this is the club moving their focus elsewhere and on to the rising Norwegian star.
Ahead of Celtic’s trip to Aston Villa in the Champions League, Rodgers was asked about Orjasaeter and he issued a blunt response, as posted by STV.
“There was a story today linking Celtic with a bid for a Norweigan winger, Sondre Orjasaeter, I think I have said that right,” said the reporter.
To which Rodgers responded: “It’s better than how I would say it. But I am not aware of that. I am not aware of that, at all, so I don’t know.”
