Celtic have just hours to complete their transfer business for the month as the clock ticks down on deadline day.

The Hoops have made just one incoming thus far and that was the arrival of Nicolas Kuhn from Rapid Vienna for a reported fee of around £3m.

Kuhn is a winger and that was never the priority position for Celtic fans or for manager Brendan Rodgers this January.

A striker and a left-back are desperately needed at Parkhead although the former position is set to be filled by Norwich City’s Adam Idah in the form of a straight loan deal.

The Bhoys are still chasing a left-back with Greg Taylor now out injured for a ‘few weeks’ and Alexandro Bernabei not fancied by Rodgers at all. Incidentally, Tiago Araujo or Hugo Bueno will not be joining the Hoops this evening.

In terms of outgoings, Marco Tilio has completed a loan switch back to Melbourne City as he sought more game time elsewhere and Gustaf Lagerbielke could yet make a temporary move out of Glasgow himself.

Mikey Johnston is on the verge of a loan transfer to West Bromwich Albion for the rest of the campaign while David Turnbull could make a £2m switch south to Cardiff City today. But could winger James Forrest be set to join the aforementioned players at the departure lounge this evening?

James Forrest has been on the periphery at Celtic this season. He’s played 18 times for the Hoops this season but Brendan Rodgers has handed the 32-year-old just two Scottish Premiership starts [Transfermarkt].

And now, a report has emerged from the Daily Record stating Celtic are ‘open to offers’ for Forrest on transfer deadline day as the hours tick away.

PLZ Soccer followed up the shock revelation with a claim of their own. The media outlet posted on X that Forrest is now interesting Cardiff City who could look to strike a ‘double swoop’ for David Turnbull and the Scottish winger.

However, that has now been debunked by The Scottish Sun who have been writing that a Forrest move to the EFL Championship side will not occur.

Regardless, Celtic fans have been taken aback by the news one-club man Forrest could leave Celtic after making his debut for the first-team almost 14 years ago now.

But opinion amongst supporters is split on a possible Forrest exit from Celtic as we detail reaction to the initial deadline day reports. Celtic punters took to X to convey their thoughts, with one fan saying:
