Kawasaki Frontale confirm Shin Yamada exit
Shin Yamada is on his way to Glasgow after playing his final match for Kawasaki Frontale on Wednesday.
The striker is set to sign for the Hoops in a deal worth between £1.2m and £1.5m from the Japanese top-flight club.
Kawasaki Frontale said in a statement: “We would like to inform you that Arata [Shin] Yamada will be leaving the team at the end of today’s (July 16th) activity in order to complete the necessary procedures to enable him to transfer to a club overseas.
“We will notify you further regarding future plans as soon as they are officially decided.”
Marco Tilio’s Melbourne City return ‘highly’ unlikely
Melbourne City boss Aurelio Vidmar doesn’t think Marco Tilio will re-sign for the Australian champions this summer.
Tilio has been on loan at the club across two separate spells since early 2024 with Celtic now looking to offload the winger.
Vidmar said: “It’s clear with Marco that he’s been pretty keen to go back to Europe.
“He was involved in a friendly game last weekend (Estrela da Amadora 3-2 Celtic), so it’s highly likely we won’t have the return of Marco, but we just don’t know where that’s going to end.”
Lenny Agbaire exits Celtic permanently
Young defender Lenny Agbaire has made a permanent switch to Rotherham United from Celtic.
The English club confirmed the move on their official website and social media platforms, with Agbaire signing for an undisclosed fee.
Agbaire played the majority of his football last season for Celtic B and then Ayr United under ex-Hoops captain Scott Brown.
