Celtic want a new striker this summer.
Shin Yamada is due to have his Celtic medical ahead of a transfer from Kawasaki Frontale, and he will join Adam Idah, Johnny Kenny and Callum Osmand as the club’s central strikers.
Celtic reportedly saw a bid for CFR Cluj forward Louis Munteanu rejected, while there’s been talk of Giuseppe Ambrosino joining on loan.
Ambrosino is on the fringes at Serie A champions Napoli and is expected to depart the club this summer amid interest from a few teams.
One is Celtic, while Cremonese and Cagliari have also been touted as suitors. It was actually reported that Cremonese launched a transfer bid.

Giuseppe Ambrosino left out of Napoli pre-season squad
Celtic seem to be keen on loaning Ambrosino with the option to buy next summer, but Napoli may be more interested in offloading permanently.
Meanwhile, it’s been confirmed by Il Mattino that Napoli have decided not to bring Ambrosino to their pre-season training base in Dimaro.
The club’s training camp began on Thursday with manager Antonio Conte welcoming the likes of Kevin de Bruyne to the squad.
But Ambrosino, along with six others, have been left at home with their futures up in the air.
Celtic target ‘definitely’ on Napoli transfer list
It is being reported by Italian journalist Pasquale Giacometti that Ambrosino will be definitely leave Napoli this summer.
However, he adds that the club are still trying to figure out the best way to move forward with his exit, whether it be a loan or permanent departure.
Giacometti said: “Behind the scenes #Ambrosino: initially, he was supposed to be among those called up for the Dimaro training camp with #Napoli, but with the arrival of Lorenzo #Lucca, it was decided to leave him at Castel Volturno.
“He will definitely be transferred, but it is still being determined which formula would be the best.”
