Celtic have a number of talented young players on their books.
Francis Turley, Dane Murray and Sean McArdle are players Brendan Rodgers has given experience to in the Celtic first-team over the last two seasons.
Murray impressed Celtic fans in the 2-0 win over Sporting Lisbon last week as the young defender gives Rodgers something to think about for next season.
However, it’s another young defender who Livingston manager David Martindale wants to boost his squad next season as he looks to solidify the Almondvale club’s status in the Scottish Premiership.

David Martindale wants Celtic youngster Adam Montgomery at Livingston
Adam Montgomery has found breaking into the Celtic first-team difficult over the last few years.
After making his senior Celtic debut in May 2021, Montgomery has made just 20 appearances in the green and white Hoops.
Now 23, it appears that the young left-back could be set for yet another loan move as the Daily Record reports that Martindale and Livingston ‘close in’ on a loan deal for the Celtic Academy graduate.
If the deal is brokered, this will be Montgomery’s fifth loan move of his career.
The SPFL boss who labelled Celtic’s Adam Montgomery ‘outstanding’
Montgomery has now played under two managers at Celtic in Neil Lennon and Ange Postecoglou. The former Scotland U21 international has also played under Scott Brown at Fleetwood Town.
However, it was at St Johnstone where Montgomery was labelled ‘outstanding’ as he impressed former McDiarmid Park boss Steven McLean during a season-long loan spell.
McLean said of the Celtic youngster in May 2023, “He has been outstanding.
“He will tell you himself that he has improved since he’s been here. Everyone can see he has improved massively and I know Celtic are happy.
“It is a credit to all parties. As a young player at Celtic, he probably didn’t have to defend as much.
“So that is why it was probably a good loan for him. He is not just a good player, he is great in the dressing room as well.
“I’m chuffed for him. He has a few games still to go and then he can go back to Celtic a better player.”
