Renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that Dominik Livakovic has agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce, as the Turkish club look to finalise a deal with Dinamo Zagreb.

There was excitement amongst some Bhoys fans on Friday night when Sky Sports reported that Celtic were closely monitoring the Croatian international star, with the goalkeeping position a priority.

However, it immediately became apparent that interest from Fenerbahce was serious. Romano has reported this morning that terms are beginning to be agreed as the club close in on his signature.

Livakovic is an experienced, elite goalkeeper thought to be available in the region of €10m. A Celtic move for him would have been a serious statement of intent this summer.

Obviously, there’s still a chance the Bhoys have their hooks into a deal here. Nothing is confirmed yet. But, given it was reported last night that Celtic had yet to make an offer, it isn’t looking good.

Brendan Rodgers has spoken positively about the attributes of Joe Hart in recent days so it’ll certainly be no disaster to the manager if Livakovic moves elsewhere. If the right goalkeeper doesn’t come along, which is a difficult position to recruit, Hart is likely to be in place for the opener against Ross County.

There has been some positive transfer news today. Gangwon FC have confirmed that Yang Hyun-jun will be moving to Celtic this summer and saying his farewells to their support this afternoon.

The winger arrives for a fee of around £2.1m and becomes Celtic’s third signing of the summer transfer window. The Bhoys have yet to officially announce the deal at their end, but it looks done.

In other news, The first Celtic goals of the new Brendan Rodgers era have been scored.
